Finished!

Finished!

Job is finished! It is day two of having left and so far I've had a lovely time. Only one thing has come up so far where I started trying to solve someone's problem before realising:
1) I don't work there anymore
2) Even if I did, I watched someone delete my account from the particular software they were talking about and reassign the licence.

So basically, I can't help, nor should I!

This is going to take a bit of time to get used to, but it will get easier. I have some nice things lined up in the next couple of weeks while I have a break between finishing one job and starting a new one, so soon, I won't be thinking about the old job anymore.

Actually leaving, was both lovely and heartbreaking. I spoke to a lot of people, realised I'm going to miss a lot of them, and also discovered that some of them thought a lot more of me than I had ever realised! I received some lovely gifts and had a very nice time getting extremely drunk at the pub with a wonderful group who came to say goodbye. Truly, it was more than I'd imagined and I'm extremely grateful for it.

That's all for this week, I'm supposed to be on holiday after all! My parting words to you are, think of the places where you can't help but get stuck in and ask yourself - "Should this really be done by me? Or should this be done by someone else?". As a wise person once said, "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should"
